Callander's Beach

Callander's Beach and at other, unsupervised locations in the park. Of course, swimming isn't the only thing to do at the Kouchibouguac beaches. Bring your binoculars, to see some of the 250 bird species that have been recorded there, including osprey and bald eagle, Canada goose, northern gannet, white-winged crossbill, and the endangered piping plover. Park interpreters welcome all comers to guided nature walks and a voyageur canoe adventure tour. Hiking and cycling trails, canoeing and kayaking all invite you to spend a little energy in exploration. Kouchibouguac is located off Route 134, about an hour north of Moncton, or half an hour south of Miramichi. There are lots of excellent campgrounds both within and outside the park, not to mention motels, cabins, and country inns, and a wide choice of restaurants offering anything from a quick snack to a gourmet feast. Supervised, unsupervised, salt water, freshwater sandy beach.
