Salmon Festival

The annual celebration of the world-famous Restigouche Atlantic Salmon. This summer we celebrate the 36th annual Salmon Festival. Many events, new and traditional, have been organized for everyone's enjoyment during the week of June 28 to July 7, 2003. There are events for all ages including a 10 km Road Race, Miss and Little Miss Salmon Festival Pageant, Canada Day Celebrations with giant fireworks, salmon suppers, the biggest street closure with food, fun and music for everyone. Largest parking lot party and a gigantic parade. These exceptional events celebrate good times, good friends and family. Come and taste some great Maritime hospitality at this year's Salmon Festival.

*Open year round* A national exhibition centre presently at two locations: at Campbellton's Visitor Information Centre, 56 Salmon Boulevard (open from May to October) and at 39 Andrew Street. It offers a wide range of regional and national exhibits. Inquire about the gallery's special events calendar for concerts, workshops, theatre, etc. Its permanent display based on the Athol House site tells the exciting story of the Mi'qmaq, French, Acadian and Scottish heritage of the Restigouche region. Two boutiques showcase unique items fashioned by regional and New Brunswick artisans.
